Day three of our Ultimate French Road Trip was spent visiting the D-day beaches, museums and memorials in Normandy.
Arromanches - This is where the artificial harbor known as Port Wilson was built. During wartime it served as a base for Allied troops taking 600,000 tonnes of concrete and equipment across the Channel. You can still see remnants of the bridges out in the ocean.
